Please receive the July edition of the Fireaway Club Newsletter.

Social Meeting:
The next meeting takes place this coming Thursday, 30th July, Guildford Arms bar, West Register Street, at 7:30pm. Socials are very relaxed, informal and held in the open bar area of the pub. If you've missed the last few, or not been before, the July meeting is an ideal opportunity to drop-in for a pint.

Events Update:

Hillwalking:
1)A walk is being arranged for sometime in early August. Details of the route and date, when finalised, will be posted on the website via the Latest News page and the Messageboard. Everyone welcome.

2) A walk is also being organised in the Galashiels area to coincide with the opening of the new Borders railway line. The line opens on the 6th September 2015 and the walk will take place a few days after. Full details will be posted on the Latest News page when confirmed.

General:

Condolences:
Sad news with the announcement of the death, on the 15th July 2015, of retired colleague David Hamilton aged 53. David served as a crew manager within community safety, based at Dalkeith Fire Station, before his retirement in 2014.
