Fireaway is a club for retired, or about to retire, personnel of Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service.
AIM ON THE CLUB
The aim of the club is to provide the opportunity for members to keep in touch with former work colleagues and to engage in a range of social activities.

SOCIAL MEETINGS
Open to all members the informal social meetings,held bimonthly at the Guildford bar in Edinburgh, form a core part of the club's activities. Further details are available on the social meetings page, dates and times for all 2017 scheduled meetings can be obtained via the events calendar.

SECTIONS
A range of sections, including walking, travel/trips and Golf, allow members to engage in a variety of group recreational activities. To find out more, join a specific section or contact a section coordinator go to the sections page
WEBSITE
The secure and exclusive members only website coordinates all club activities. The site is updated regularly with the latest news relating to sections, events, and social meetings. All forthcoming events are listed on the events calendar. Members can also interact with each other via the site message board.
NEWSLETTER
An electronic newsletter will be sent to all members on the Thursday before the scheduled bimonthly social meeting. The newsletter will contain updates on developments within the club and details of any forthcoming events. It's important to note that any changes to the website password will be notified via the newsletter, consequently, all members must subscribe to the newsletter.
MEMBERSHIP
To join the club go to the membership application page complete the online application form and submit, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement confirming your application has been received. You must also subscribe to the newsletter to ensure you receive any password changes.
